Actions Speak Louder than Words

Today in class we discussed the short story, “The Very Old Man with Enormous Wings” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I read through this story at a fairly quick pace the first time because it says that it’s a tale for children so I assumed it would be considerably easy to understand. Needless to say, I was wrong! I really thought this story was cool. I still had a hard time understanding it but rereading stories definitely helps. I also use spark notes to help me understand a little better as well ha ha.

I had trouble understand this too! Don't you think it's interesting how there are so many stories criticizing hypocritical Christians, but no matter what, there's still a very large base of Christians who remain hypocritical, no matter what?

this story was very interesting. I had to read it twice to understand better. I agree when you say that sometimes we are not grateful with what we have...and instead do things that are not right...
