My brother wanted to try fantasy football this year but he wanted to be in the same league as me. We couldn't seem to rig it up to be in the same public league, so I created a custom league. I published the league in hopes of getting more players, but I'm gonna advertise it here. Anyone that wants to play can join ( Read more... )

Cool, I joined. This'll be better than joining in a regular public league like I usually do. You might want to also post this in the EoFF thread to catch some of the slackers like Spiff.

Awesome! I don't know if I'll post it in the EoFF thread, we'll see.

You have any ideas for the scoring set up? I have it at Yahoo!'s default plus I added .5 per reception and I gave a -1 penalty for FG misses under 40 yards.

I'm open for ideas. I know the EoFF league always has 6 points for a passing TD, but 4 points is more standard. And I always hated EoFF's high scoring defensive scoring potential, I left that alone. If enough people wanted to change though, I wouldn't mind.

Of course, so far there are only 4 teams, but the draft is 2 weeks away yet.

I know 4 points for passing TD is standard, but I must say I like 6 points more. Even in the EoFF league, RBs are the dominant position, and 4 points per passing TD makes that even moreso. 6 points gives QBs a bit more of a fighting chance.

Also, I noticed that return TDs count towards defense, which is something the EoFF league doesn't do. I don't have a major preference for that, though, just pointing it out.

I'm up for any suggestions. I don't really have any preferences as long as things don't get too ridiculous.

I will probably join this later, if it isn't full by the time I get around to it. I think it is outrageous that you aren't in the other league. I believe that whoever was in the league the previous year should have automatic priority.
