Instead of a regular turkey this year, I decided to cook up a turducken. For all those who are not familiar with this delicacy, a Turducken is a partially de-boned turkey, stuffed with a de-boned duck which has been stuffed ( Read more... )

Sounds like a fun feast-did Stinky get some turducken?

I don't have a video camera, but I am on AIM and such, and would be more than happy to catch up with you guys.

Yes, the Stinkachu got a piece of meat. His hunger addled puppy-dog eyes, incessant whining and that jedi mind trick managed to sway me. In appreciation of that gesture, he proceeded to stink.

You cooked an entire turkey just as a backup. You are hardcore!

I am glad it came out tasty! I saw a turducken once. The concentric rings of meat were a little disturbing.

I've always been curious about turducken - and now I know something. Go you - that is just wild. But, I find the idea of boneless bord carcasses a little disturbing... not to mention the concentric rings of meat. It reminds me of a dish that I watched friends eat in Bavaria - cross section of pig.

A good page describing the making and eating a turducken is here. The guy has a good sense of humor. Caution: not work safe if you have people in you office offended by swear words.

Turduckens are the Americanized version of the Galantine. Although a galantine is typically served chilled with aspic (geletine), the concept is similar. Sounds like an awesome dinner though! It is good to see you guys on the Skype network.
