     DD's 7th grade class is going on a field trip to the Zoo on Friday. Yesterday, they picked a partner for the field trip and then were able to choose what teacher they wanted to travel with.      Last night I paid $2.99/gal at the Sunoco in Leesburg. I really never thought that I'd see gas go under $3 again. It's nice to have a little financial relief in these uncertain times. Every penny saved helps.

     Do you know how hard it is to find an appropriate party dress for a 12, almost 13 year-old? We are going on a week-long cruise over Thanksgiving (DD will turn 13 on the cruise), and there will be at least 1 formal night onboard.      Friday was a Girls Night In. DD and I spent the evening watching movies - What a Girl Wants, Waterhorse, and Sister Act. It was fun but I stayed up way too late for me.      We had our annual Labor Day BBQ in our court on Sunday night. About 12 different families showed up for the festivities. Everyone brings their own meat and also brings either a side  salad, dessert, paper products, drinks, or fixings.
