We had a pretty low-key weekend. DD and I went to a Mother/Daughter Tea and Fashion show on Saturday afternoon. It was sponsored by our church. Just as we arrived at the hotel where they were having it, the bottom dropped out and it started raining cats and dogs. We had to make a run for it, and we ran though several large puddles. How successful have you been with date night? Tried doing that and things always kept coming up.

It works pretty well because DD has synchro practice every Saturday night from 5:30-9pm so no need to worry about her being home alone. But things do come up, and I'd say we make it out about 50-75% of the time. We try to make it a priority. And going out to or three times a month is a lot better than we used to do so I'm happy. Unfortunately that was her last Saturday night practice until September so who knows when we'll get out this summer. :)
