I never really considered my family to be rich, or be well off in the sense that money was never an issue. I can remember each time I would ask if I could have some sort of toy or something that I thought was cool my parents would say no. I don't remember you talking about a maid before.

I liked the story, though. It was sad that she died, but the honesty portrayed makes it very personal...like from a child's perspective.

It reminds me a bit of The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
