Gramma K died this weekend. It was not a surprise but it's not any easier for that. Scott is going to come home with us for the funeral.
I'm writing a eulogy, which might not get finished, or if it is, delivered. But it helps me to write it. -

Hello recession

Today I got good news in class: my partner and I had the highest profit among those students taking the marketing challenge. That means we win the award of a .3 bump to our grades for the class!! Yay!
To celebrate, I drove to Greenwood after class and stood in front of PAWS for fifteen minutes, watching kittens play. -
Oh, why not, here's the Thanksgiving essay. I'll just let folks know later if it's published.
Dad’s relatives have a working cattle ranch in northern California. As far back as the early 1960’s the families of my grampa and his brother and sister have gathered at this ranch for Thanksgiving. Forgot to mention. The local newspaper put out a call for stories about Thanksgiving traditions, and I submitted an essay of sorts. I'll post a link if it gets published. -

About...dang, must be four years ago, I took a glass-painting class from Peter McGrain (who I mention for the sake of any glass-interested people reading this...look him up). The group of us students each painted a face, and then each was cut up into ten or so pieces and distributed around. That way each student got a puzzley face made of pieces ( Read more... )
