It would have been interesting in a Wraeththu setting so see how Rue dealt with Kimimaro's abstinence. I truly feel that Rue would have allowed him time, as he is insisting now in camp, for him to come to his own conclusions, which is rare for Rue. I do feel, however, that the process of seduction would have been a bit more direct. Without the camp restrictions on sex and aruna, Rue would have been much more willing to press certain matters

Well, I'm pretty sure Rue doesn't like Nanba that much, but I'm curious. As for essay: I want to know what Rue thinks about the confusing time gaps between wraeththu.
...Pell wants me to make it known that he doesn't prefer Nanba's company to Rue's. He does, typically, find Nanba easier to talk to, but that's not a Rue thing, that's an everyone thing. He doesn't feel the need to be eloquent or composed, or find something to talk about. There aren't many people for Pell, ever, that he can be totally relaxed around. Rue's getting there... I think having Vel in camp will actually help with that, for some reason that I can't put my finger on. Give me a little time and a thread or two to play with it

Caeru adores Ash. *laughing* He truly thinks that the boy is one of the most insane little things that he has ever met before, but he's also grown quite fond of him because of that. He will forever see Ash as a child, even though he has no doubt that he will grow up into a fabulously handsome young man someday. He loves teasing Ash and watching his antics. The innocence Ash shows just adds to Rue's affections.
Rue has a lot of trouble understanding why he would have befriended such a har, but at the same time, Velaxis is the first har to arrive at camp who shows such a depth of compassion towards Rue. This, honestly, confuses him. As much as he doesn't want to befriend someone he thinks so little of, he's drawn to the compassion. mentioning his son was entirely unfair, but having someone who actually understands and isn't distant from him or mocking him, it's a nice change.
He's going to try to be wary of Velaxis for the time being, but he's really struggling with it. Vel is, of course, doing everything just right to get into Rue's personal space.
ahaha late, noharone does late as spectacularly as I do...
Velaxis didn't mention Rue's son in order to distress him - he actually wanted to reassure him that he was okay. Although Vel can and will manipulate Rue if he has a particular goal in mind, he would never be deliberately cruel. He would very much like to get on better terms with Rue - he is very patient and knows that he managed it once, and he can do it again. Plus, although he can deal with all the weird and wonderful stuff at Camp, and the fact that some of the other hara aren't exactly thrilled to have him there, a friendly presence would be appreciated in his life.
He's very interested in knowing how Rue's relatinships with Cal and Pell are going in Camp. Rue and Pell being at loggerheads never suited his plans, so if there's signs of change there, he will encourage it.
Also, he wants to have a girly night in painting Rue's tonenails and gossiping :-)
