I know it works just as a poem, but when I wrote it I was thinking of the tune to the beginning of 'Ize of the World' by the Strokes. If you know it, then great, if not, that's fine. I thinkit came out really Strokes-ish, except the llast verse. That sounds like Bob Dylan. Hee.

Nice to see you're out of your writer's block.

I think it's got a great flow and if you aded to it you could probably have awesome lyrics here. Otherwise, it makes a great poem.

aw, thanks!

it actually started as a song... but the problem with my song-writing skills is that it always sounds EXACTLY like whetever i've been listening to. hence, the strokes! and i was raised on bob dylan, so it's in there too. sometimes i sound like john mayer, or the killers, or blink 182, or the clash. whatevs. it's always a ripped-off tune with a variation at the end and a chorus from another song.
