I'm sure I heard on the radio that there were traffic accidents everywhere tonight. Someone waived the toll, northbound on the Gateway bridge to clear up traffic, which gives anyone local - or with a clue about bureaucracy- how dire the congestion was

You may have headed too far down kingsford smith...I have been diverted that way before but had to turn left onto sugar mill rd, which I now take more often because I think you avoid a little traffic.

Oh, cunning: if you turn on the satellite view in Google Maps, Sugarmill Rd clearly connects with Lomandra, but it falls just short on the normal map view.

I guess it might have been faster after all.

(I didn't end up taking the alternate route, as I could see the Gateway just above the sign diverting traffic and it was looking pretty smooth :) )

Bloody hell. I know Brisbane's a huge city but even in Los Angeles it doesn't take two hours to get to the airport.
