Who knows which news source is scraping from which, these days. I'm pretty sure radio lazily scrapes popular news sites for headlines, which is why I wasn't surprised to find on news.com.au that IBM is cutting free coffee, having heard it already while driving home. There was, unfortunately, a hefty tax on 3D goggles. Once we'd swallowed that bitter pill, Monsters vs. Aliens turned out to be a surprising amount of fun &emdash; in 3D, no less &emdash; in exchange for minimal cringing, most of which was at the extended Close Encounters theme. Today, sitting by Coronation Drive, a portable LED bank was supposed to be reporting changed conditions ahead. What it actually reported was

Wet 'n' Wild was on the cards yesterday, but postponed with weather. We went to the Gold Coast instead and trawled Pacific Fair for a while. If you're ever around Surfers Paradise at lunchtime, consider eating at the Beach Club at the Q1 tower. Their steak and fish and chips are second to none; their sauces, elegance and satisfaction.
