Story time!

I got my iPhone today at 2:45pm, after 2.5 weeks of Optus' "rain check policy." (Their RCP == "You don't get it, but we'll bill you right away. And charge you termination fees.") I took it home and, with their instructions in mind, connected it to itunes, registered and updated it.

Also, if something is busted out of the box like that (actually, you have a DOA period of about 10 working days for ALL goods) they are required to give you a new unit.

Also, did you know that Optus had another giant outage today to the 3G network? Wondering if that might be the entire ordeal.

There may not be anything wrong with my iPhone, if it's the sim card that's faulty. I'll be without one til next week!

(I thought there was an outage, but they'd "assured" me it was my phone only :( )

I fucking love the iPhone, but the process of getting one and setting it up makes me ponder eating glass instead. Less painful.
