Obama chose Tom Daschle as the Secretary of Health and Human Services and I am starting to learn what it feels like to see something great come from an underrated state. My chin often does not reach these heights so I am trying to enjoy it while it is there.

I had a dream last night of a decapitated elephant head. Unsettling, maybe, but I couldn't have asked for better subconscious symbolism for last night's groundbreaking events.

Somebody stole my debit card information and fled to Montreal for sushi, boat rides, theatre visits, and expensive breakfasts. They also went to Iles de Soeurs or something. I guess this is one way to learn geography.

If not: Olympics! The opening ceremony made me want to be back there. When I saw those places they were surrounded by mounds of dirt.

i'm happy to say i survived another worldwide adventure. i went on planes, trains, and automobiles (sometimes all on the same day), making it from point A to point B (with the occasional unplanned circuitous diversion through point R) while soaking up the in-between occurrences. some of my favorite moments were what i think others considered ( Read more... )
