I've been saying this for a while now, but thank you for going up to the mountain top and yelling it down to inform/remind us all. You are a true voice of truth, Mr. McConnell, and I salute you for that.
Just don't let Jonny hear you. He'll gab your ear off about politics. You know how old people are. ONce they've got your attention, watch out for flapping gums!
While that certainly does apply to much more than a hand full of people... it is taking out of perspective the people that, while not thinking the world is going to hell because of it, certainly have valid reasons for not wanting to see Bush in the White house for another 4 years. Of course no one is perfect, and that goes doubly for politicians, but some people can and do make more educated decisions with the greater good of the people in mind.
Of course you are correct that people are what is wrong with the world... but that's a little to broad and obvious a point to make... don't cha think? You can't even begin to make things better if that's the only stance you hold. Very few people may have a firm grasp on what is happening in the world, that's also true, but some people try, actually try, to learn as much as they can about it to make an educated decision.
Maybe you're just venting... I'm must away for work. Later.
I've always believed that we are just a virus on dear ol mother earth. And people generally can suck and are very problematic. Myself included. :) We are inherently Selfish, Greedy, jealous (miss spelling) Sinfull tribe of Jamokes.
But we still have to get on in this world and have our silly little opinions and what not.
All we can do is try a little every day.
I laugh at people who say the world is going down the tubes especially those who try to convince me that Armagedon is at hand, or the age of aquarius will see us all drowned, etc etc etc,, But heck.. if I see the horsemen clippity clop through town.. you know what I'm a going ta do??.. I'm going to ask for a ride!! Heh heh,,, Anyway...
I still do care that the jackass is in office for annother four, yet again, because I'm human. But I'm not going to break my stride over it. gosta go back to meaningless pile of paperwork..
