Dropping my tax return on a lake front cabin (on it's own peninsula!) in vermont as a down payment. Was doing really well paying off the house in 4 years but this property was just too a deal good to pass up, well it was after I haggled them down 21% on the price. One smop to finish today and another to start. Not going to have much time next week to work or study. Need to get motivated right now and get this done.

rainy drive in. watching the mortgage tick off quickly, a 5 year plan is better than a 30 year plan, but it's just as boring for the first five years. Cooked almost a dozen dishes this weekend. continued success has parted my malaise. Happiness is a childs embrace. the groove is deep and all encompassing. I'm not even upset anymore. I found a rythym that works... or at least I'm good at. I am completely disconnected from the world, friends, family, passions. There is only work... function. I've become a happy little cog.

2010. another NTS christmas party come and gone. The stagnation of winter dulls my senses. depression. Married with children. work has invaded and captured my home life. there is only work and kids and driving. constantly moving in the same circles. I've worn a deep groove in my path. soon I won't be able to deviate from it.
