This young day brings some sadness into my life, as one I looked up to as a mentor and a souce of great strength  and personal inspiration for me, has decided to leave the furry community for greener pastures.  I wish him all the best, I really do, a legend in his own right, we corresponded via e-mail several times, and shared quite a bit of

I like to think people never really leave, they just withdraw. And life is long. For most of my life, I never thought I'd ever even meet another fur.

I had the same feelings at first...

I can very much relate to your statement. This person that left was one of the primary factors in getting into the community, and well he has decided to leave (or withdraw). I have gone through life, primarily as a loner, with not too many friends, so when I was introduced to this community, I felt that I had "come home" to a group of folks that had such a varied array of interests and ideals. In other words, this community, has given me re-assurance that I dont have to be alone, and that I am not alone anymore. Friends like yourself, and others who take the first step, establish friendships, the power here is incredible, and rivals that of any drug or other psuedo substance any money can buy, and yes, I am a life long furry.

Thanks for responding, and I hope we can establish a strong friendship over time.
