Actually do you have a link to any test on asuran fists and double attack showing no difference in WS accuracy? I always felt that was still an unanswered question and that it would be good if someone tested it directly.

The example you give with kraken and ridill makes sense for swings, but doesn't necessarily apply to the case of WS and specifically to the only 8-hit WS in the game because it really depends on how it was coded in the game (it makes sense they might just limit 8hits by limiting swings just like in normal attacks, but they could also just have coded it as allowing DAs in WS, then capping them to 8 WShits, especially since Asuran was added later). If you know of a link to some actual Asuran test that would be nice to have as more confirmation.

I don't actually have the link, but I know that the test was posted on BG by Nagamaki around the same time as all the DEX and other multi-hit WS tests. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find, but it is rather strong evidence to show that Asuran Fists doesn't DA. IIRC he mathematically outlined what kind of improvement the chance to DA would have on accuracy and tested the results to see if they followed the math, and they came out strongly in favor of not having a chance to DA.

I understand what you mean about the Kraken/Ridill example as well, but as it stands it's at least a good example of how some of the game mechanics work.

Hm, I feel relatively sure that May 1st is the post I'm thinking of but I thought I remembered testing to go with it. I don't know if that's the right post or if it was just a mix up on my part.

The test I remember involved him parsing WS accuracy on the Aura Statues (forgot name) in the Vewhatever Palace in sky. This post wasn't exclusive to the test, as in the focus of the post was something else as well (I think on the topic of mods). But, while it was a small test it was rather good evidence as opposed to the 0 evidence to support the opposing theory that Asuran can DA.

But, I suppose complications aside you could probably tell rather easily if it works by comparing your WS acc/avg with /WAR vs /NIN (with no use of Berserk).

Regardless, I'll try to ask him about it next time I see him in game. If he already tested it then doing any further searching/testing won't really be necessary unless you want to be sure.
