Oh my. Oh. Just how INTENSE this was. Your writing was so beautiful and cruel, Oswin's desperation so vivid. I loved the way Oswin's and the Doctor's POVs alternated, both of their emotions were so very strong. Oswin calming down slowly, taking control of herself, asking questions instead of freaking out further, was beautiful. Such a brave little soldier. I loved how much the Doctor hated the Daleks, how they triggered the darkness in him (how possessed he seemed in VotD). Also loved the way Oswin instinctively perceived the fragmentedness in herself, the necessity of saving the Doctor, echoes of the echo she really was. Oswin's sacrifice was so beautiful… Loved the way she watched the Doctor run away. The memories creeping upon her, then the countdown-the bits of pieces that came rushing back, one word at a time, so fast and so sharp-that was just… an incredible ending, so tragic. All the pieces coming together, right in time for the explosion, to be shattered and fade away for good. Oh, my heart. ♥
*grins widely* Oh, thank you for the long and appreciative response! It’s always lovely to see that people really enjoy my feedback, makes me feel all fuzzy ;) Quite rewarding
