There are 3 very important 5ks that have taken place last weekend and this weekend, that raise some monies for MSU Safe Place (domestic abuse shelter) and FOSO fun walk (AIDS orphans)...
They were marking an outside lane for the walkers, so that the runners don't trip on them. so literally the slow people (as in pace) are to go there.
you could see chalking every now and them to mark the path...
now, in effort to enlighten, I would like you to think about how quickly your mind went to something malicious...
people disserve a little faith.
I'm glad that you have taken offensive words out of your vocab, but i think you missed your inner dialog...

good to know.
people do deserve faith, however, when I am completely unaware of a 5k going on and I register the signs that say "slow kids crossing" and have the jokes made about them, my mind has been trained to jump that direction.
or perhaps I am just keen on those kids.
