Oz would have never guessed that he was a decent actor. Acting had never been one of those things he had thought about trying, or even thought about at all. It had been nothing but cars since he was little, with boys somehow mixing in somewhere along the way. But acting? He doubted anyone was more surprised than he was that he had been able to keep this charade up without slipping.

Frowning at his reflection as he again tried to make his tie look decent and somewhat even, the Irishman finally muttered a curse and yanked it from around his neck. Stalking out of the bathroom to hopefully find his boyfriend, so someone else could deal with the damned piece of fabric, Oz didn’t have to go far. Leaning against the door of the office, he watched Andy bent over his sketchbook for a long moment before knocking.

Looking up, Andy turned to face the doorway, grinning once he saw the tie in Oz’s hand and the frustrated expression he wore. “You’re sort of pathetic, you know that?” He asked, already knowing what the other man wanted. Standing, the tattoo artist beckoned Oz into the room and took the tie from his hands. Stepping closer to Oz, they both lapsed into a comfortable silence as Andy slid the tie into place and nimbly secured it. Straightening it out and smoothing Oz’s collar down, Andy stepped back to admire the full effect.

Resisting the urge to preen, Oz instead turned to look into the small mirror hanging on the wall, messing with his hair for a moment. “I really don’t want to do this, you know. If I have to go have dinner with your parents because I’m seeing one of their children, I’d rather it be with you.” He finally spoke, voicing the complaint that had wanted to come out all day. “I thought it would be easier after the green card was approved, but...” Trailing off as Andy walked behind him to wrap arms around his waist and rest his chin on his shoulder, Oz leaned back into the other man’s embrace.

“It’s only for another year.” Andy murmured, pressing a kiss against Oz’s temple. “After that, you can take the test and get divorced without worry of being sent back to Ireland, and then we can tell my parents about the whole debacle. I promise.”

“I just don’t know why we can’t tell them now.” Fidgeting with his shirt buttons and tie, Oz scowled as Andy lightly slapped his hands away.

“Stop that. I’m not tying it for you again. And you know why. The less people that know-“

“The better.” Oz finished for him, though he didn’t sound happy with the response. “I know. I just hate having to always look over our shoulder every time we go out, is all. One of these days, I’d like to be able to do something like kiss you while we’re out at dinner, or... give you a handjob under the table, or something.”

Letting out a laugh, Andy turned Oz around to look at him face to face, arms still wrapped around him. “And that is why I love you. So romantic.” Chuckling for another moment, Andy leaned forward to capture Oz’s lips in a kiss. Grinning slightly at the other man’s sound of contentment, Andy pulled away to laugh again as he felt a pair of hands grab his ass. “Adrianna’s probably going to be ready soon. Stop trying to get me to take off my pants.”

“You kissed me first!” Oz protested, lips twisting into a pout.

Continuing to laugh, Andy shook his head as he pulled away, lightly pushing Oz towards the office door. “Go. Act straight, impress my parents, be my brother-in-law for a few hours. I’ll be here when you both get back.”

“You promise?”

“I swear.”
