My mom, aunt, and I simultaneously all found Pioneer Woman at the same time about four years ago. It was long before she was super popular, and on her old website. I remember we made her cinnamon rolls (didn't turn out) and her chicken spaghetti casserole (yum!). Back then, she was only posting recipes and I kind of lost track of her. A year or ( Read more... )

I have never heard of Pioneer Woman, and I read a dozen or more cooking blogs, own all of the top food-lit books from last year (I'm addicted!) and watch Food Network almost exclusively. Where has she been all this time? Can't wait to check out the lasagna. I still don't have a go-to recipe, and I've been craving!

You've never heard of her? Ha! I don't know that she's referenced a ton on other cooking blogs (not like the $5 dinner lady or the slow cooker lady). She did a few talks hows and QVC this fall during her book tours. Tons of people showed up for her book signings which made me happy. I know they don't always do big book tours for bloggers turned authors, so it was nice to see hers be a success.

You'll have to let me know what you think of her!

Love PW. Her sesame noodles are really yummy, too.

also, I am so with you on the random mommy-cooking blogs. The crap some people feed their kids...

She's been talking about doing a Bachelor type thing for one of the single cowboys. I would so be up for that! And oddly enough, I just saw her sesame noodle recipe and was thinking about making it for lunch this weekend!

Dude, seriously. The food was so bland, even the dog didn't like it!

Oh the sausage! And the cream cheese! So tasty. I used the leftover filling on a homemade pizza later that week even!

My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Did you get my comment on my other post about getting the info from you about the woman you knew who had to do Lovenox injections?

I did! I emailed her to make sure she would be okay chatting with you. I think she maybe did Heparin injections, but I'm guessing they are similar since they both deal with clotting issues. Hopefully she'll get back to me soon!

That's the one! It makes SO MUCH FOOD but it's delicious. It's seriously my go to dish when I need to take someone comfort food.

You know what I loved? The slices of mozzarella. I felt like that made such a difference because you got a really nice, even layer of cheesey melty goodness. We had leftovers last night - yum!

I made the crash potatoes last night, and we did pretty much licked the pan, OMG. I could eat them every day for the rest of my life.
