My younger cousin is graduating from high school this year. At Easter we were strategizing for his graduation party and somehow, I ended up volunteering to make biscuits. The food is southern, since my uncle's family is from Louisiana. I want to make really flaky, mile high biscuits. Like the kind you get from KFC. I've tried two recipes so ( Read more... )

Well, I'm a pathetic Southerner, because my mom was a "bisquick cook," and everything I've learned about cooking, I learned from cookbooks.

That said, I would check Southernliving.com - their recipes have always been good when I've tried them.

Also, I've tried this one from Cooking light, and while I don't remember how tall they got, I do know they tasted good:

I used to make amazing biscuits when I was younger and I"m fairly sure they were Bisquick biscuits. I think I need to make those again this weekend to try them out!
