Choose Your Own Adventure Books

When I was younger, I loved Choose Your Own Adventure books and other game books. Favorites included the brand name Choose Your Own Adventure books, the Wizards, Warriors, and You series, the complicated ones that involved an inventory, combat, and status, and the Zork books, which were actually quite funny. I bet you send most of your correspondence electronically, as well, rather than using the venerable United States Post Office.

Dude, I LOVED those books as a kid.
And "Choose Your Own Mind-Fuck Fest" deserves to be the tagline for an adult CYOA line. Which, really, ought to be done. Now. Pity I'm so overcommitted, because I think I could have fun with such an endeavor.

Ocean of Lard claims to be #17 in that series, though there are no others. The cover design is also yanked from the original CYOAs.

After making the post I found some other interesting ones, including the sort of odd Escape From The Holocaust. It is a "Do-It-Yourself Jewish Adventure" book, and there are a whole series of them. I'd have probably named it "Jews Your Own Adventure" but that might border on insulting.
