I got sick last Thursday and it lasted through Saturday night/Sunday morning, though slightly numbed on Saturday due to the visit of Gallagher and Alex, some beer, and some medicine I took that day. I stayed home sick today with quite a bad cold.  Sick days are always so strange, because you can never really enjoy being home from work as much as you'd like to, because, well, you're sick.  Today I made myself some grapenuts, pulled the couch up to the computer and watched a Disney original movie called "High School Musical" that I had ( Read more... )

It was a party and people were enjoying themselves. Me,too. 60 or 70 of us, mostly people my age - in our 20s. All the normal things were there...friends, food, copius amounts of alcohol, and this time, entertainment. I had a great day today. A lot of little things contributed to this and sometimes I need to remember that this can happen, even in the smallness and seeming mundanity of my life.

• A bunch of kids went through the rite of passage of High School Graduation. I'm really going to miss some of them, too.   It was the good kind of sad.
