in the last three days i have: 
packed up everything i own
trekked across country
stomped through a horse pasture
gone riding
swam in a chilly lake
gone for many many long walks
read my book in the fresh, cool air
MOVED INTO MY NEW HOUSE IN PORTLAND!

it's finally started to hit me in the last couple of days that this part of my life is almost over.   i'm all kinds of excited for portland, but am finding these goodbyes harder than i imagined.  i think one thing that's adding to it is the fact that the heat is making it impossible to do some of the things that i really wanted to do before leaving ( Read more... )

 the house search seems to be a little elusive.  i keep finding the perfect houses in the neighborhoods i'd like to be in, only to be told, "sorry, i just rented it this morning."  arrrg.

I was super psyched about selling my car and went outside to find that it had been hit at some point last night.  Apparently, it would've been too considerate to leave a damn phone number or insurance info.  Instead I get to deal with paying to fix it.  Grrrr.
