I really looked at my pay stub a couple of weeks ago and noticed that they put on my retirement date. I am NOT ready to think about retirement. No wonder I'm having such difficulties with my next birthday. I know I don't have enough money for it and I don't see any reason why I should, at least at this point. Work has been hellacious. Lots of reasons for it but it's been causing me a huge amount of stress. Last night was the worst. I put in an hour of OT plus not having time to even go to the cafeteria to grab some food. Too much going on. Too many things happening. I think I need to be more disciplined about posting here.

This past weekend was my 40th high school reunion. Only about half of the people attended. Sad. We've had a few members pass, some people we've lost track of, and some were too far away. Last year I went up to the cemetery on 7/4 to visit Santa on his birthday. On the way home my car developed vapor lock (though the mechanic said it couldn't possibly be that!). Day 1 of the vacation. Really looking forward to the 11 days I'm going to be off. Lots to do. I'm going to be working on cleaning and organizing the basement. So.... I've discovered there is a psychologist who has come up with a new diagnosis for my past. She's written a book, has a blog, and gives lectures on how fundamentalism is abusive. I need some new life goals. I've come to realize that I'll never meet many of the ones I've always had. The one thing on my bucket list is too expensive for me to do. I'm really in need of some new, do-able goals. Just haven't figured out what they should be yet. Taking suggestions here!

I'm confused. The diet industry says I need to be able to throw away uneaten food. The eco industry says I need to stop throwing away food. Which do I listen to???
