It's hard not to be offended sometimes. Figuring out how to deal with the emotion is really the difficult part. After grieving so deeply for Santa, I am concerned that I have accepted my father's death so easily. I've not cried. I'm not sad. I don't miss him. I'm trying to find a church that "fits". That's not easy to do. I have 4 different church's podcasts I follow. Two of them are in the Twin Cities. One of them, that I have attended in the past, has chosen to stop posting podcasts on iTunes, the way I've been downloading them up until now. Over the past 6 weeks I've been picking up a lot of extra shifts due to a co-worker going to another position and getting the replacement oriented. I put Mittens to sleep on Tuesday. She was very old and sick so it seemed the appropriate thing to do. Still, it was really difficult to do. She was everyone's favorite of my 2 cats, the most personable one. Fred Phelps died today, God rest his soul. It's interesting that he died on Fred Roger's birthday. Between the 2, I'd rather celebrate Mr Roger's birthday than Fred Phelps death. I'm glad for the LGBT community's refusal to picket Phelps funeral. It's a great witness to people like my mother, who thinks the Phelp's idiocy is just that, idiocy.
