D: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF GODDAMNIT

I know I'm one to talk but YOU KNOW THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED ;_; Take it easy now and then?

I know, I'm working on doing a better job of that right now.

Thanks. . . I know this could have been avoided, and I need to make sure it is in the future.

General advice: if you need to eat and you don't want to wake up your roommate, use the common room at the end of the hall.

If not eating will make you sick like this and you can't get time to eat/have nothing to eat. . .don't go to morning practice. A lot of people don't, even people who are really into aikido, and nobody is going to think that's being lazy. Or, don't go to morning practice until you're more on top of stuff. That works, too.

. . .that didn't even occur to me, gah. In the future, I will.

In my defense, and this is the really frightening thing, my body has never done this before, I know I've done strenuous things in the morning without eating, so the fact that I became so ill from doing so this time scares the crap out of me.

You are right. I need to put my well being above aikido in terms of priorities right now.

Thanks.

Well, by your own admission you aren't eating too well or taking care of yourself, and adjusting to the cafeteria food (and learning how to eat well there) takes time. I would recommend going to the nurse's office if they were actually any good just to get checked out, but. . .they aren't. . .so. . . .

You may have trouble getting to sleep at a good time tonight because S&C gets pretty loud. . .but as long as nobody on your hall comes back trashed, things should be pretty quiet since you aren't overlooking the quad.

I think I should be okay with the noise - I'm more worried about crossing campus with it going on, as the girl in the room next to me is basically insisting that I go with her to the alcohol-free Alterna-party which is close to, but off campus. I have no real desire to stay there long, but I might play a round of a board game or watch the beginning of a movie or something. I'd sort of rather not go since I have a pesky headache, but I promised and it might be fun. Nonetheless, I intend to go to bed before midnight tonight. . .

I considered going over to Harrison, but I'd rather not unless absolutely necessary. Right now what's worrying me is whether or not getting the flu shot next week will wipe me out. . .

Anyway, yeah . . .I AM trying to eat better, and I am determined to get more sleep and now I am going to memorize propositions.

As a renowned holder in "Weak Stomachs", I have to say Nerves plus lack of sleep and food aren't a good combination. But, judging from what you say, you've kinda learned your lesson here, so assuming you keep a handle on things a little better, probably wont happen again. That, I think, is the important thing. You've gotten your reality check, and now you know not to mix those particular situations again.

Don't be too ashamed; my boyfriend who's in Aikido actually made that mistake too once.

It's a pretty common thing to do, especially so since it seems like everyone else there knew how to handle it.

Aww, I hope the books did make you feel better!

And yeah, always eat, especially breakfast. I can't honestly believe that an apple would be loud enough to wake your roommate. I mean, it's really lovely of you to be concerned and all, but really--an apple would wake her up? She's not going to live through college, if that's the case. (One of my roommates was a really light sleeper. She got a small portable fan that she turned on near her head because the steady drone of the fan blades buzzing drowned out the noisy world outside, so she could sleep in peace. You might suggest that, if your roommate's a really light sleeper. It'll make her happier, and it'll make your life easier, and keep the two of you from killing each other. Which is always preferable, I find. It's so hard to dispose of corpses adequately in the cramped quarters of a dorm room.) Oh, and you should sleep too, but seeing as how I'm posting this at 4am myself, I guess I can't really point any fingers on that particular note ( ... )
