Today I was outsmarted by a machine.

one thousand tiny ants are clustered in the center of my white tub. I can only suppose that they ate the mouse poison I laid out earlier, and now they have come in search of water. I will have to scoop them out with a dustpan, becuase if they were washed down the drain it might clog.
