This is lovely. I love stories about people doing stuff for Leslie, since she's so selfless. Adorable.

Lovely fic! I liked getting to see a sort of nostalgic/melancholy side to Leslie. It's not something we get to see much, if at all, and yet it feels very realistic. And of course Ben comes to the rescue adorably! Loved his interactions with Ann -- they have a lovely relationship. I was so happy that they got to sled. I haven't gotten to sled in years, and now I'm dying to.

Thanks! I figured that if Leslie throws Ann birthday parties with bouncy castles and face painting, there must be at least a hint of nostalgia for childhood birthdays somewhere; I'm glad the premise felt grounded.

You seriously keep them all so in character. And I love how earnest and cute your Ben is. Seriously I love how every time you write him he just wants to give her the world, but it clashes also with this thoughts in his mind of propriety, and how far can he go without looking silly? I just love it. This was wonderful birthday goodness.

Thanks so much! I can't think of a compliment higher than that--it means so much!
