I love it!!!
Ray has cleaned the kitchen up twice this week!!! I now feel lazy and officially like the worst wife ever. I also feel lucky to have such a fantastic husband. -

I am still upset with my brother, but I've accepted that things are not going to change no matter how I feel about them. The things that happened are already done. I can't just forget about it, but at least I can stop dwelling on the hurt. I'm sure it will flare up through various conversations and visits, but I'll deal with that as it occurs. A couple of you know that one of my brothers chose not to come to my wedding on April 3rd. He and his wife live in Japan for the year teaching English to grade school-aged language immersion students. Now it is time to relax!
Today was the first day off in a strange, alternating day off period. I spent most of it being lazy, but around 5:30pm I started to feel bad and I became productive. Between then and now, I have done 3 loads of laundry, cleaned some rugs, cleaned our main bathroom, made dinner and accomplished a lot of organization as I sorted through mail and ( Read more... ) -
Random catch up
A month and counting and my homemaker apocalyptic kick is still going strong. I now have a healthy, viable sourdough starter that smells very pleasant - in a sourdough sort of way. I haven't actually made any bread from it yet, because I wanted to make absolutely certain that it was alive. I want to cut down on all possible variables when I start ( Read more... ) -

the apocalypse is coming
About two weeks ago I woke up convinced that learning how to make bread was the most important thing in the world. So far, I haven't gotten rid of this compulsion. I'm on some kind of insane domestic homemaker kick lately, where lately means it came over me all at once two weeks ago and refuses to leave me in peace. It's bizarre - I just woke up one day and decided that making my own bread was the most necessary and fulfilling activity possible.
