Summary: Ueda finds himself on a bus going to who-knows-where, and his traveling partner is none other than Nishikido. Bad summary… sorry!
Warnings: Nothing really, except for some silliness and maybe some out of character… and maybe some bad grammar and misspelling.

Inspiration: The nice, warm and sunny weather that has been with me the last few days and the song Summer Time by NewS is also a source of inspiration kinda...
A/N: I'm totally spoiling you with my quick update… I know I said I wouldn't be quick with the next update but I couldn't help myself… I wrote last night and I just can't control my will to update… So here it is… chapter 11

Chapter 11
"What now?" Ryo asked rubbing his stomach as they walked out from the restaurant. They had found the place Kame had suggested, or at least the place they had thought Kame meant. It was a small and cozy restaurant with great food, and they had been able to sit outside in the sun while eating.
"I dunno." Ueda answered putting on his sunglasses. "Maybe join the others on the beach, what do you say?"
"Nah, we probably should, but I don't really feel like it, yet" Ryo answered. "Can't we just walk around for a bit?" He said looking around and his eyes locked at a shop on the other side of the street. " Oh look, let's go and have a look at that shop over there" Ryo didn't bother to wait for a reply, he just simply grabbed a hold of Ueda's hand and dragged him towards the shop.
"Oh, look at these" Ryo said letting go of Ueda as he grabbed a hold of a pair of sunglasses that was lying on a table in front of the shop and tried them on.
"How do I look?" He asked trying to look cool in the 80's styled pink framed sunglasses. *
"Uh, not quite you I would say." Ueda said holding back his laughter.
"Awh, that sucks." Ryo said in mock disappointment. "You should try them on."
"Don't think so." Ueda said backing away a little as Ryo held out the sunglasses to him.
"Oh, come on." Ryo pleaded. "No one's around to see you."
Ueda thought for a moment before he agreed, and slowly took of his sunglasses and Ryo helped him put the pink ones on.
"Whoa… you look pretty good in those" Ryo said both impressed and amused. "You should totally buy them."
"Hah, you gotta be kidding" Ueda said skeptical as he took the sunglasses of again.
"No, you looked really cool" Ryo insisted, and he sounded really sincere in Uedas ears.
"Maybe, but I won't buy them. I'm sure I'd never use them." Ueda said giving the sunglasses a second look before he put them down on the table again.
"Well, I guess I'll have to buy them for you then." Ryo said grabbing the glasses.
"No-no- please. There is really no need for that" Ueda protested.
"Just see it as an early birthday present." Ryo smiled making his way into the shop.
"Do you even know when my birthday is?" Ueda asked following Ryo inside.
"Of course I do! It's sometime in October, November or December, right?" Ryo said looking at Ueda over his shoulder.
"It's on the 4th of October, make sure to remember that date" Ueda said. "Cause I expect a greater gift on that day than these sunglasses."
"Of course I'll get you something more. This is just a pre-present or something." Ryo smiled at Ueda before he stopped in front of a shelf. "We should get some of these as well."
"Get some of what?" Ueda said coming up next to Ryo. "You mean some of these water pistols?"
"Yeah" Ryo nodded and grabbing a hold of one of the guns. "Just look at them, I bet they are good for protection." He aimed the gun at Ueda, one eye closed.
"Protection? I don't think they'll be much of protection." Ueda said amused. "And what would we need protection for anyway?"
"A drunken Jin" Ryo smirked while admiring the gun in his hand "Or worse a drunken Tegoshi."
"So you mean we should splash them with water?" Ueda raised his eyebrows. "I kinda like that idea"
"Good, then pick one" Ryo grinned. "I'm getting this one"
"So, do you think we should meet up with the rest of our traveling company now?" Ueda asked as they walked out from the shop, both with a water gun in their hands.
"Umh… "Ryo started throwing a glance at his wrist watch. "I guess we should…"
"They're probably waiting for us" Ueda said with a small smile on his lips.
"Yea, probably… so what way did we come from?" Ryo asked looking around.
"That way" Ueda said pointing to his left with his whole arm. "I think… It must've been that way, right?"
"You've got us lost?" Ryo asked accusingly.
"What do you mean with that?" Ueda snapped.
"Nothing, I'm sorry." Ryo said trying to smooth over his stupid comment, not wanting to have yet another stupid argument. "Let's just walk that way, you're probably right, okay?"
Ueda didn't answer but started to walk ahead of Ryo, he wasn't really mad at the other just a bit annoyed.
"I said I'm sorry" Ryo said catching up with Ueda, grabbing a hold of his hand with his free one, and Ueda didn't even try to get free from it. "I'll buy you an ice cream to make up for my stupid comment, how does that sound?"
"Good" Ueda agreed. "Oh and look isn't that the hotel? "
They had just made a turn, and sure enough there was the hotel.
"Yeah, you were right. You have sucha great sense of orientation" Ryo smiled, squeezing Uedas hand affectingly. Ueda looked down at their hands and then back up at Ryo's smiling face and he couldn't help but smile back at him.
Half an hour later they had found their way down to the beach, they could hear the rest of their friends from a far since their voices and laughter was pretty loud. Surprisingly they seemed to be almost the only ones enjoying the afternoon on the beach, the only other occupants was a few families with small children. Yamapi was the first to notice that Ryo and Ueda had arrived at the beach.
"Yo, glad you finally made it!" He shouted at them while walking towards them and getting the attention from the rest, a few of them following him.
"Yeah, sorry for taking so long" Ueda smiled apologetic.
"Nothing to apologize for" Junno smiled back, walking up beside Yamapi.
"So are you up for a game of volleyball?" Yamapi asked grabbing the ball from Tegoshi and throwing it to Ryo, who grabbed the ball gracefully.
"Yeah sure" Ryo answered turning his head towards Ueda. "Or what do you say princess?"
"Sure, but be prepared to lose. " Ueda smirked. "Cause we are playing KAT-TUN vs. NewS right?"
"Of course!" Yamapi smiled brightly. "Come on, the net is just right over there"
"Everyone, it is playtime!" Junno announced whit a big smile and waving at everyone to follow him and Yamapi, which everyone did, eager to show off their amazing volleyball skills.
"Everyone knows the basic rules right?" Kame asked as everyone had positioned their selves on each side of the net. He got a chorus of nods and yeah's in reply.
"Good, Jin you do the first serve" Kame threw the ball, that he had taken from Ryo earlier, to his boyfriend.
"How come you guys get the first serve?" Shige asked.
"We decided that earlier." Jin answered. "Yamapi and Tegoshi lost poorly in a game of rock-paper-scissor back at the hotel."
"I'm still convinced that Akanishi cheated." Tegoshi muttered.
"I did not." Jin said back bouncing the ball on the sand.
"Stop talking and start playing will you?" Ueda said impatiently from his position in the front.
"Okay, okay. Here it comes!" Jin said and served the ball which flew gracefully over the net and the game was on. NewS failed getting the ball back across the net, giving KAT-TUN the first point, but after that they slowly got the teamwork going. KAT-TUN weren't any better and that made the game pretty even. Unfortunately the friendly and fun atmosphere of the game pretty soon turned rather bad, since Jin and Tegoshi got too worked up. They both wanted to win so bad that they ran all over their team's sides, shouting at their team members.
"For the love of JE." Ueda shouted when he got too annoyed over his friends behaviour. "Can't the two of you just chill down a bit and stop taking it so damn serious?"
Everyone stopped playing and the ball hit the sand on NewS side giving KAT-TUN another point.
"It's just a friendly game right?" Ueda continued.
"Yeah, Tat-chan's right." Kame agreed. "You should calm down a notch Jin"
"And you too Tego" Massuda said "Or you'll lose a team member."
Jin and Tegoshi looked at their friends, a look of guilt plastered on their faces.
"I'm not in the mood to play anymore" Ryo said walking up to the net and facing Ueda who was on the other side. "What do you say about getting that ice cream I promised you earlier?"
"Sounds like a good idea." Ueda smiled.
"Did I just hear the word ice cream?" Massuda asked turning his head in Ryo and Ueda's direction.
"Yeah, but don't get the idea you're coming with us" Ryo smirked turning back to Ueda. "So I saw this pla-"
"Aww, Ryo-chan wants Tat-chan all to himself" Jin cut in a singing and teasing tone.
"You can come too if you want" Ueda said before Ryo had the chance to snap back and cause a scene. Jin didn't reply he just blinked a few times, clearly surprised over Ueda's reply.
"Can I join too?" Massuda asked eagerly.
"Everyone can join in" Ueda smiled at all of his friends, before he turned back to Ryo. "But I'm the only one getting treated by you, right?"
"Of course you are" Ryo smirked. "I'm not made of money you know"
"May I ask why Ueda is getting this special treatment?" Yamapi asked with a big grin on his lips. "Is it because you're dating?"
"We are not." Ryo and Ueda answered facing the others, and Ryo continued. "And to answer your question, I promised Princess that I would buy him ice cream to make up for something I did earlier."
"So how many of you are going to come with us and get ice cream?" Ueda asked quickly before anyone had the chance to ask more about it.
"I think me and Jin are going to stay here a while longer." Kame answered giving his boyfriend a loving smile and stroke Jin's arm slowly up and down. Jin just nodded smiling just as lovingly back at Kame before giving him a peek on the cheek.
"I'm definitely coming with you" Massuda smiled brightly.
"Are you really sure you guys want us to come with you?" Nakamaru asked Ryo and Ueda.
"Yeah, I wouldn't have invited you if I didn't want your company, right?" Ueda smiled at his friend. "So everyone who's up for ice cream, just follow us"
"So, what kind do you want?" Ryo asked once they had reached the ice cream shop they had walked by on their way to the beach earlier. Everyone except for Kame and Jin had followed them, much to Ryo's annoyance.
"Uhm, chocolate, licorice and pineapple." Ueda told the man behind the counter.
"Weird combination" Ryo mused before he made his own order - strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. Ryo kept his promise and paid for both his and Ueda's ice cream before they walked out from the shop to enjoy the ice cream on a bench under the late afternoon sun. The rest of their big group was still inside deciding what to buy, it seemed like none of them could decide what to get.
"Why did you invite them to tag along?" Ryo asked once they were seated.
"Just to stop the teasing" Ueda answered before licking his ice cream. "You sometimes have to do some sacrifices"
"Hm… well I guess you're right" Ryo said licking his own ice cream. "So, did I tell you that I looked up on some things to do around here?"
"Ah, no you must've forgotten to mention that." Ueda answered surprised.
"Well I did. There is some kind of old temple just outside the town, if you're interested in that kind of things, and there is also a minor amusement park not that far away from here. That's pretty much the only things to do around here except from hanging at the beach and do some shopping."
"I'd like to do both." Ueda smiled. "And I guess the others would like to visit the amusement park as well."
"Probably… they can come too I guess…" Ryo said while trying to stop the ice cream to drop onto his fingers. "But I wont allow them to come with us to the temple. They would just be too noisy and disturb the peace and quiet."
"Sure" Ueda chuckled. "So can I taste you're ice cream before it melts away? You can taste mine as well if you want."
"Uh, sure" Ryo answered holding out his ice cream for Ueda to take, but instead Ueda leaned forward licked the ice cream.
"Oh, that was yummy." Ueda smiled brightly holding out his ice cream to Ryo. "Now's it your turn"
Ryo smiled and leaned forward tasting the weird combination, and he was surprised to find that somehow the combination fit well together.
"Aww, some indirect kissing" Junno's voice came from behind them "How cute!"
They turned around and found Tegoshi, Massuda, Junno and Yamapi standing there behind them, all with an ice cream in their hands. Behind them they could see Koki, Nakamaru, Shige and Koyama walking out from the shop.
"Ah, shut up" Ryo muttered but restrained himself from making a scene. Ueda just ignored the comment by giving his friends a small smile.
"So what tastes of ice cream did you finally decide on?" He asked getting the topic away from him and Ryo.
