Ryo thought of himself as the happiest man on earth, and had done so ever since that evening, that first date with Tatsuya. It had been a bit awkward at first since he had no experiences in how to date a guy, but their first date had been a success and had even ended with a kiss. A few dates later they had made out for the first time, and that was on the couch in Ryo's apartment. It had been really awkward at first, at least for Ryo who had no idea where it was appropriate to put his hands. But he eventually learned it, and Tatsuya, who Ryo from rumors had heard had had some experiences with a guy or two, was a great teacher and very patient. The make out sessions soon turned into something that they always ended or started their dates with depending on the situation. After a couple of months they had sex for the first time, a happening that for Ryo would always be one of the most embarrassing and awkward moments in his life. It hadn't been a beautiful experience at all. It had been messy, heads knocking into each others, bruises and a tangle of limbs. But in the end it had been pretty good, and after a few times he had gotten the hang of it and now their sex life was rather great.
Now Ryo were facing another challenge in their relationship. Their 3 month anniversary was coming up in just a few days and he had no idea how or what he should prepare for the celebration. He wasn't even sure if Tatsuya also counted that date as the day they got together or not. For Ryo it was definitely the day he got Tatsuya's number but maybe Tatsuya though it was the day of their official that should be their anniversary date. That fact didn't bother Ryo anything though since if they had different opinions about it then they would just have to celebrate it two times, and any reason for celebration was always welcomed with opened arms by Ryo. But how should they celebrate it? How did two guys who were dating celebrate something like this? Did they do it like any other heterosexual couples? So far it had seemed like dating a guy wasn't that much different from dating girls Ryo had realized, the only difference really was the sex part and that it was so much easier to understand the other. No stupid read between the lines or stupid hints about what you were expected to do. But of course there was still things left to learn for a newbie like him.

No one knew about their relationship though, well not as far as Ryo knew but he suspected that his band mates were suspecting that he was in a new relationship. And he couldn't blame them for it, not with the way he had been acting the last 4 months, first with his falling in love process and then with the way he seemed to always turn up with a smile to work nowadays and the cutbacks of all his snarky and poison filled comments. No one asked him about it though, but he could tell they wanted to and if they had asked him what would he have answered? I'm dating Ueda Tatsuya? I've fallen head over heels in love with a prince who looks more like a princess?

They had actually never talked about if, when or how they would break the news to their friends, that subject had never once been brought up. Not that Ryo was really bothered about if people knew or not, but if somebody knew it would be easier to consult someone about what to prepare for the upcoming important milestone in their relationship. And it would be even easier if someone who was gay knew about it because that person would most likely be experienced in homosexual relationships, right? But despite being a part of a company like Johnny's Ryo only had two friends who were gay and he really didn't want to ask them. Jin would just be his usual Bakanishi and Kamenashi, well he could be scary sometimes, but his slight fear for Kamenashi was something Ryo would never admit to anyone. Ryo thought hard about what to do before he actually finally decided to consult the famous Akame couple after all, but he would be subtle not to let them know what he was after.

"Nice of you to treat us out for dinner" Kame said as they all three sat down at their favorite table in one of their favorite restaurants. This was where the three of them, usually with Yamapi tagging along as well, almost always went whenever they decided to have lunch or dinner together.
"Ah, it's nothing" Ryo said waving Kame's comment of as he threw a quick glance at the menu, not that he really need to since he always had the same meal every time. Jin did too but he always looked though the menu for ages anyways while his boyfriend had different meals every time but was quick to decide on what.
"So is it some special reason behind this treat?" Jin asked from behind the menu.
"No, I just felt that we haven't really been out together in ages" Ryo answered. "I just thought we should catch up you know. So how are you two doing? Don't you have your 2 years anniversary coming up soon?"
"Actually it's our 5 year anniversary" Kame corrected him. "We were together for almost 3 years before we came out officially"
"3 years?" Ryo's eyes grew wide at the news. He had no idea about that, sure his friends had been overly friendly and close ever since their junior days but didn't they grow cold towards each other for a time? Was that all an act to hide the relationship?
"Shocked huh?" Jin smirked at his friend looking up from behind the menu. "And no we didn't try to hide it, we just never openly said "hey everybody we're together, we love each other and there's nothing you can do about it". And no one never really asked us about it so"
"But you were not talking to each other for a time, right?" Ryo could not believe his ears. Did anybody else know about all of this? "And you were cold towards each others? Did you break up and then got back?"
"No, we didn't break up. We did however take a break from each other." Kame smiled slightly looking kind of sad "My fault, I felt like we moved to fast and especially when Jin asked me to move in with him. Plus I wanted to focus on work"
"But we got back together but then I went to LA, Johnny-san had found out and tried to pull us apart, didn't work though" Jin said placing down the menu and put his hand on top of Kame's. "We kept it going through long talks on the phone. But then when I got back and Johnny-san noticed that LA had done nothing to us he allowed us to be together but forced us cut down on the PDA and that was also about the time when we got out to the entire Johnny's company about our relationship"
Ryo had never thought that they had really gone through all of that, he had of course heard all the rumors about his friends but he had not believed them. Would Johnny react the same way if he heard about his and Tatsuya's relationship? He hoped not.

"So you have your five years anniversary coming up. How are you planning to celebrate it?" Ryo asked after they had ordered the food and been served two glasses of beer, one for him and one for Jin, and a glass of wine for Kame.
"Like we always do" Jin smiled at Kame and squeezed his hand softly. "Making dinner together, watch a movie before we move to our bedroom for some lo-" Kame jabbed Jin in the side with his elbow. "Ouch! What was that for?"
"You should really learn when to stop talking sometimes" Kame answered. "I'm sure Ryo don't want to hear about that…"
"Oh, right. Sorry" Jin smiled dumbly and turned to Ryo. "Why did you ask about that anyways?"
"Oh, just out of curiosity" Ryo answered quickly, slightly taken aback of the question. "I mean, I've actually been doing some thinking lately about relationship and things like that. And I started to wonder what the real differences, except for the obvious, is between a straight and a gay couple"
"Why would you start thinking about that?" Kame asked raising his eyebrow while playing with his glass of wine.
"I dunno" Ryo shrugged. "Sometimes you just start thinking about the weirdest things you know"
"Are you sure?" Kame narrowed his eyes, and it was at times like this that Kame could be really scary. It was like as if he could see right through you when he narrowed his eyes like that.
"Ye-yes" Ryo cursed himself for stuttering but quickly changed the subject. "So, your movie looks like it'll be a good one, Jin. Bandage was the title, right?"
Jin beamed as the focus of the conversation was turned to him; he had always been an attention whore. Ryo smirked at his successful subject change but he could feel that Kame was still eyeing him and probably trying to read and find out his ulterior motive behind his curiosity in their relationship. Ryo ignored him nonetheless and tried to listen to Jin's rambling about the movie and the movie promotions but his mind kept wandering to Tatsuya. And he tried to form a plan for their upcoming anniversary. Maybe he could copy Akame's plans. Making dinner together seemed nice and cuddling on the couch while watching a great movie didn't sound bad either. And moving the cuddling into the bedroom sounded even better. Yes he would do that. Now he only had to decide on what to make and what movie to watch.

The next day Ryo texted Ueda and told him to meet him by the bathroom on the 3rd floor. No one ever came there after the rumors about a ghost living there had started a couple of years ago. Apparently a few juniors and Aiba Masaki-san from Arashi had encountered it. Ryo never believe in those rumors though but he was thankful that almost everybody else seemed to do so. He leaned against the wall in the bathroom waiting patiently with a big smile on his face. This was the first time he was able to see Tatsuya after coming back from Osaka a few days ago and he had missed him a lot, but he would never admit that if someone asked him. But then again who would ask him about it when no one knew about them.

"Hi" Ueda said as he entered the room with a smile and closed the door carefully behind him.
"Princess" Ryo said giving the other a nod of acknowledgment trying to look cool. He didn't know why he bothered with it since Tatsuya had seen him in states worse than un-cool. Ueda smirked at him before he walked closer until he stood right in front of Ryo. Ryo gulped slightly, even though they had been together for a while now he always seemed to get slightly nervous and giddy whenever they got close like this. They both leaned forwards while closing their eyes and soon their lips crashed together in a soft kiss. Just a soft kiss that soon broke but their faces remained close and they smiled at each other.
"So, you said you had something you wanted to talk to me about?" Ueda asked softly as he started to stroke the side of Ryo's face. Ryo had to admit he liked being touched like that even though it made him feel slightly like the girl in this relationship. When he thought about it they didn't have clear roles, sometimes Tatsuya would be more like the girl but right now Ryo was the girl.
"I just wanted to ask you if you'd like to come over to my place on Friday" Ryo answered.
"Friday is our 3 month anniversary, right?" Ueda smiled his hand wandering from Ryo's face and into his hair instead.
"You think of that as our anniversary as well?" Ryo asked a bit surprised but just a little bit.
"Of course" Ueda said and leaned in to give Ryo another kiss that he gladly accepted. This time the kiss lasted slightly longer and their tongues got involved.
"So, you'll come over?" Ryo asked slightly breathless when they parted.
"Yes, I'll come over" Ueda nodded. "What time?"
"Around 7" Ryo said giving Ueda a quick peek. "We better get going now"
"Yeah, the rest of my band is probably wondering why I just disappeared like that" Ueda chuckled. "We didn't even have a break"
"You skipped out of practice for me?" Ryo grinned as he opened the door for Ueda like a true gentleman. Now he was back to being the man in the relationship he mused.
"Don't get to big headed." Ueda smirked and patted Ryo's head. "See you on Friday then"
"Yeah, bye" Ryo said back as they parted and watched how Ueda walked away before he went back to News.

Friday afternoon arrived smoothly and Ryo had decided on what the two of them should make together. Since he had gotten to know the hard way that Ueda was not that great in the kitchen they would make something simple. Well Ryo would stand by the stove while he would make Ueda make the salad, you can't really fail making a simple salad. As for main course Ryo would make his own version of Spaghetti Bolognese and for desert he had just bought expensive Italian ice cream. It would be a simple yet special dinner since they would be making it together.

Ryo smiled as he started to prepare himself for Ueda's arrival in a couple of hours. He had walked out from the shower just minutes ago and was now standing in front of his wardrobe deciding on what to wear. He pulled out different shirts and trousers and examined them but finding something wrong with almost everyone. Was it not a stain it was a rip that he had no memory getting. He should have done his laundry yesterday he though scratching the back of his head. He looked for a few more minutes until he finally decided on a pair of black jeans, a white undershirt and over that a simple pink button up shirt. Simple yet stylish. He checked himself out in front of the mirror, twirling around making sure that he looked good from all angles. He was pleased with what he saw and grinned at his own reflection before casting a quick glance at his alarm clock on the bedside table. Still over an hour left until Tatsuya would arrive he sighed. What should he do now? He had bought everything and he had cleaned up his apartment slightly yesterday, not over done it though. It still looked like someone was living in the apartment. He had placed the gift he had bought last weekend on the table in front of the couch in the living room. He had placed the DVD he had borrowed from someone in his band by the DVD-player. He had not had time to rent anything so he had borrowed one from someone, he had no idea who though since he had been alone in the dressing room. And he had not had the chance to ask about it either, but he was pretty sure whoever it belonged to would not be missing it and he would hand it back first thing on Monday.

He slumped down on the bed and let out a pleased sigh. Tonight would be wonderful he though as he fell backwards his arms ending up above his head and he stroke the sheets beneath him. Ah, could he be happier than this?
His peaceful state of mind was interrupted by his cell phone going off and he got up with a groan reaching for it on the bedside table.
"Yes, hello?" He answered falling back again.
"Ryo! It's Pi" came his friend's voice from the other end of the line. "What are you doing? Do you have any plans for tonight? I thought that maybe you'd want come out clubbing with Jin, Yuu and I. It's been a whi-"
"Sorry but I have plans" Ryo cut into Yamapi's rambling.
"You have?" Yamapi sounded to Ryo's annoyance surprised. Did his friend think that he was some loser with no plans on Friday nights? Did he think that he didn't hang out with anybody else than the famous "Akanishi troop"?
"Yes" Ryo said. "So if you don't mind I have to hang up now."
"What are you going to do?" Yamapi asked ignoring Ryo's last comment. "Are you going to spend it with that new girlfriend of yours?"
"I don't have a girlfriend" Ryo answered. "I really have to go now…"
"Oh come on Ryo. Don't lie to me" Yamapi once again ignored Ryo's attempt to end the conversation. "I'm not stupid. I've noticed how you've changed and been acting like a love fool. So come on, tell me is it someone I know of?"
"I really don't have a girlfriend. It's true, I promise and I really have to go now, bye" Ryo said and hung up before Yamapi got the chance to go on with the conversation. He felt kind of bad acting that way towards his friend but at least he had not lied. After all he didn't have a girlfriend and he was sure Yamapi would forget all about this and if not Ryo would just explain himself to him some day. Yamapi would understand him he was sure of that. He cast a glance at the phone to see what time it was and smiled when he saw that it was now only 45 minutes left until their celebration would start. He jumped up from the bed and walked into the bathroom to fix his hair and put on his favorite cologne.

The doorbell went off exactly two minutes past seven and Ryo jumped up from the couch in the living room in excitement. Not a single thought of trying to hide his eagerness to start their evening ran through his mind as he opened the door with a big smile.
"Welcome Princess" He said taking a hold of Ueda's hand and dragging him inside.
"Eager much?" Ueda chuckled almost stumbling over his own feet and dropping his bags.
"Shut up" Ryo said but the grin on his face contradicted his comment.
"So what have you planed for us?" Ueda said smiling as he kneeled down to take of his shoes.
"We're gonna make dinner together" Ryo answered leaning against the wall watching Ueda. He looked great tonight, well he always looked great but tonight he had a different kind of glow around him. "Cuddle in front of a movie and then move from the couch into the bedroom"
"So simple" Ueda commented getting up from the floor again and walked up to Ryo. "But it sounds like a great plan"
"Good" Ryo said leaning forward when Ueda was close enough to capture the other's lips. The kiss was soft yet passionate and their tongues soon got involved.
"Let's get cooking" Ueda smiled as they pulled away. "The sooner we're done with step one and two in your plans the sooner we can continue with what we've just started"
Ryo just smiled grabbing a hold Ueda's hand and dragged him into the kitchen.

Moments later Ryo felt tears starting to fall down his cheeks and he tried his best to hide it from Ueda who was standing by the kitchen table preparing the salad. His try failed though as he soon started to make sniffing noises.
"What's wrong?" Ueda asked sounding concerned and walked up behind him and wrapped his arms around Ryo.
"Yes" Ryo muttered leaning back against Ueda's firm chest. "It's just this stupid onion that makes my eyes tear."
Ueda chuckled and Ryo felt the vibration against his back. It felt nice and soon he was chuckling as well dropping the knife down on the counter and turned around to face Ueda. His eyes were still tearing up but he didn't care anymore as he leaned in to kiss Ueda again. He had missed Tatsuya and his touches so much this last week. They had only been able to meet up that one time a couple of days ago and that hadn't been nearly enough. The other's arms were still wrapped around his waist and Ryo let his arms wrap around the others neck pulling him in closer. They forgot everything about making dinner and got lost in each other's. Unfortunately they had to break it when the noises of the pasta water boiling over and making hissing noises as it hit the hotplate. They pulled away with grins playing on their now slightly swollen lips and continued on with their tasks as quickly as possible to get over with it.

Little over an hour later they were lying on the couch, Ueda on top of Ryo, eating ice cream from a shared bowl with one spoon. Taking turns eating it and sometimes sharing ice cream filled kisses. On the TV the movie was playing but they didn't pay it any attention. It seemed to be a slow movie with a boring plot; making Ryo thinks that it must've been Shige's movie, especially since it was in a forging language.
"This is nice" Ueda smiled putting some ice cream into Ryo's open mouth. "I could never have thought of a better way to celebrate a 3 month anniversary"
"Yeah" Ryo said leaning up to capture Ueda's lips slipping over some of the ice cream into the others mouth. It was a sloppy kiss and some of the ice cream escaped their mouths and ran down their chins. Ryo moved his lips to lick Ueda clean and the moan that slipped out from the other made shivers run down his spine. He took a hold of the ice cream bowl and carefully put it down on the table while he started to kiss his way down Ueda's neck. God he had missed this, the taste of Tatsuya, the anticipations on what would come. Ueda placed his hands on both sides of Ryo's face and pulled him up to crash their lips together again. Ryo let a moan slip out as he felt the other pull him up from the couch not letting go of his lips and started to walk backwards. The tingling feeling inside of Ryo's stomach grew stronger and he could hardly wait until they reach the bedroom.

An hour later, Ryo glanced at his alarm clock and he chuckled. It was not even 10pm and he was already in bed something that rarely happened.
"What's so funny?" Ueda asked shifting his position slightly in Ryo's embrace.
"Nothing really" Ryo smiled and gave what he had intended to be a quick peek but it didn't quite end up that was as Ueda took control of the kiss and starting to stroke Ryo's naked torso.
"I really could not have thought of a better way to celebrate" Ueda mumbled into the kiss and his hand slowly started to move south.
"Uhm" was Ryo's only reply getting lost in the sensation of his boyfriend's touches.
"Oh, I almost forgot" Ueda said suddenly pulling away and jumping of the bed in all his naked glory.
"Where are you going?" Ryo whined missing the warmth of Tatsuya. What was he thinking just running away like that? Ryo didn't have to be alone for long though as Ueda reappeared again just a minute later with a paper bag in his hand and crawled back into the bed with it.
"What's that?" Ryo asked curious.
"That's your anniversary present" Ueda smiled handing Ryo the bag.
"Oh, that's right!" Ryo's eyes widen and he got out of bed. "I have one for you too. I'll go and get it!"

A moment later they were both lying next to each others in the bed again, both with a present in their hand.
"You go first" Ryo said nudging Ueda slightly in the side. He had bought the perfect present; it was something that Tatsuya had been talking about buying for as long as they had been a couple. He watched in anticipation when Ueda quickly tore the wrappings apart.
"Oh my god" Ryo shriek happily as the present was revealed. "I can't believe it, and you even remember what brand and color I wanted"
"Of course I did" Ryo smiled wrapping Ueda, who was looking at the red new boxing gloves mesmerized, in his arms. "I'm really happy you liked them"
"I love them" Ueda smiled breaking his gaze on the gloves and turned to face Ryo. "Now you open yours"
"Okay" Ryo chuckled and slowly started to open the present. He had no idea on what it could be and that made it even more exciting. "What the-?" He said really surprised when the content was revealed to him. "A bathing kit? Bubble soap? Bathing Oils?"
"Yeah" Ueda chuckled at the reaction before leaning up and giving Ryo a soft kiss on the cheek. "I thought we could have some fun with it in the bathtub later"
"I like your way of thinking" Ryo grinned placing the kit down on his bedside table before he leaned in to Ueda's lips to continue on with what they had been doing before the present exchange.

The end

A/N: I know the ending is not the best but I really had no idea how to end it really. Anyway hope you liked the story as a whole ^^
