Some of my favorite musicians have two sides. Dustin Kensrue's primary band, THRICE, is a heavy, technical, powerful storm of guitar muscle with room for dynamics. On the side, Kensrue has produced a couple solo albums that fit more in the Americana/Folk realm. Life is pretty solid right now. We have a baby on the way end of may. Exciting! My band is releasing its first EP and playing a string of local gigs. Stoked! Work is steady & stable. Friends & family are around. Sure, the house is a mess as we try to reorganize for the baby, and there are various bits & bites of normal life stresses, but as a whole ( Read more... ) -
Hopefully my final thoughts on the subject.
When we returned to Edmonton, one thing I did not expect was to immediately lose a local friend I had been anticipating reconnecting with. We had, of course, maintained our friendship over teh interwebs for the four years I was away from the city of champs, but it was a friendship that was much stronger when we could -do- things together rather ( Read more... )
