Our 10 minute phone call pretty much made my night.  And I was at a party.

He stopped my defense mechanism ("Well, I should probably get going..") right in its tracks by actually wanting to talk.

You are not a phone person. I know that. I was ready for that.

Selfishly, I like being the one he treats differently.
