There is this common analogy between a person and an onion; that there are as many layers to a person as there are layers to an onion. My bro says my standing posture is incorrect, my walking stance is incorrect; I need to shift my weight forward and stop arching my back.
What comes naturally to many people (if not most?) feels almost alien to me when I stand corrected (pardon the pun).

Zaftig (adjective): of a woman: having a full rounded figure; pleasingly plump
I came across this word while reading an article and its meaning was totally lost on me. Interestingly, the root word stems from the Yiddish word Zaftik, which means juicy and succulent.

I had the impression that 'pep' was a slang word since the only usage I had encountered previously was in the phrase 'pep talk'. At least that was until I looked it up in the dictionary:
