AN ARASHI FICTION QUEST
Aiba stared at their green room’s door as if it was his biggest enemy on the world. The poor thing had nothing to do with his twisted, miserable situation though. It was all… all his fault alone… He could thank it only to his own stupidity. If he would’ve seen the truth instead of seeing what he wanted to see, then he shouldn’t had to pretend now that he didn’t really care about it…
The others left already, leaving behind Aiba and Sho in the green room alone. The younger idol looked at the rapper cautiously before took a deep breath to speak.
“Sho-chan! I have to tell you something…” he said stepping closer to the older man.
Sho stopped packing his stuff to look at his band-mate.
“What’s wrong, Aiba-chan?” he asked worried by the younger boy’s nervous face. “You know, you can tell me anything…” he added smiling.
Aiba smiled back weakly and tried to slow down his furiously hammering heart. He took a deep breath once again…
“I… I love you, Sho-chan…” he said quickly and closing his eyes he pressed his lips to Sho’s.
But it all lasted to mare seconds. Sho put his hands on Aiba’s shoulder and pushed him away gently.
“Aiba-chan… I’m sorry but… I have someone already…” he said silently.
Aiba felt as he nodded at this as if his body was belonged to someone else. He wanted to say something, anything to get out of this awkward situation but his mind - his heart - was completely empty. Then before he had any chances to say something the door opened.
“Hey, Sho… the taxi is here…” Nino said and his glance jumped between his band-mates confused.
“Coming…” Sho looked at him smiling and dropped his hands from Aiba’s shoulder to grab his bag. “I… goodbye, Aiba!”
Aiba looked up and couldn’t help noticing how Sho was smiling at the shorter singer; how his hand brushed his waist; how Nino was looking back at him…
Finally Aiba sighed and opened the door before someone spotted him asking why on earth he was just standing there, staring at the door instead of going in. The others were there already.
“Ohayou!” he said smiling widely but his smile wavered when he looked toward Sho.
The rapper sat next to Nino on the couch watching the gamer as he practiced his newest magic trick. Aiba quickly turned away when the rapper looked back at him and grabbing a magazine he sat down next to Ohno at the other couch. Riidaa glanced at him.
“Aiba-chan… is everything okay?” he asked silently so the others won’t hear it.
Aiba just hummed something as an answer and lowered his magazine a bit to stole a glance of the other couple in front of him.
“Ehm… Riidaa… you know that Sho-chan and Nino…” he asked in the end whispering.
Ohno was ready to take a little nap when the younger man asked him. He opened his eyes and looked at Aiba first then at the said couple.
“Sho-kun and Kazu what?... Oh, that they’re dating...? Sure…” Ohno shrugged. “It’s well-known, isn’t it?... You know, Kazu never said but I think they got together at the Yamada Tarou shooting…” the artist added thoughtfully. “Why are you asking?”
Aiba just shook his head.
Even Ohno knew it. Then how could it be that he was the only one blind enough to notice anything?
Aiba sighed. So Sakuraiba really didn’t exist outside of the stage…
