Chapter 7: Starting this beautiful Love

“Let’s go, dinner seems to be ready…” Sho said once he broke the kiss and left the room first.
His head was spinning as he walked down the stairs and it took a lot of effort from his to gather his cool image when he reached the dinning room. Cause all he could think was the kiss; the feeling of Masaki’s sweet lips under his… Hell, that boy tasted innocent! And this thought just added to the heady feeling that was filling him already…
Knowing nothing of this, Masaki stood rooted to the very same spot where Sho left him. He stared into nothing with wide eyes for minutes then he slowly raised his hand to touch his lips.
“He just… kissed me?...” he mumbled into his fingers. “My first kiss! I have to tell Nino!” he squealed and ran to his own room but as he could reach his mobile, he heard his mother’s voice:
“Masaki, darling! Dinner is ready!”
The boy sighed and dropped the phone on his bed. Nino had to wait for the news…
‘But he kissed me!’ he remembered and with the thought, his dazed state came back in an instant. He wandered down the stairs, went straight to his seat and sat down picking up his chopsticks but after that he just stared into thin air with a dreamy smile on his lips.
“Masaki, honey, are you feeling alright?” his mother asked on a worried tone. The boy’s face was flushed in a deep red color, his eyes shined but his look was dazed. “You have a fever, darling?”
“He?”
Sho chuckled at this and Masaki immediately turned his eyes at him from his mother. And the blush just darkened on his cheeks as he looked at the knowing smile on his brother’s lips. ‘Those lips were…’
“I’m sure he’s just hungry for your cooking after the hospital food…” the older boy said on an amused tone, covering for him as he still watched Masaki, his eyes twinkling cheerfully.
The younger boy’s eyes widened, he felt his heart skipping several beats and his stomach making those funny flip-flops. He never saw Sho being like this but it still made him falling for him more…

Later that night, Masaki sneaked out of his bed and tiptoed over to Sho’s room. Opening the door with as little noise as it was possible, he slipped in the room.
“Masaki? What are you doing here? You should sleep…” Sho said lowering the book he was reading and sat up in the bed when his door opened. The room seemed pitch black despite the soft glow of the bedside lamp.
“I… I…” Masaki stuttered blushing and standing around the door.
Sho couldn’t help but smile gently at the younger. ‘He’s just so innocent and lovely!’ he thought. Masaki seemed to be really embarrassed and shy and he didn’t dare to leave the door though he obviously came for a reason.
“So?” Sho asked again raising an eyebrow.
But Masaki still stood shock-shelled and just stared at the older boy who wore a tanktop for sleeping and in the dim light… ‘He’s so… handsome…’ Masaki thought amazed and blushed even more. When he finally realized that Sho was still looking at him expectantly, he cleared his throat and ducking his head he fixed his gaze on his bare feet.
“I… Aniki, I… wanted to… talk to you…” he whispered barely audible.
Sho sighed then put his book away on the nightstand.
“Come here!” he said gently and rustled the sheet and scooted over to make room in the bed for the younger.
A bright yet shy smile lit up Masaki’s face and he climbed in bed with Sho obediently.
“First: I told you I don’t like it if you call me ‘aniki’!” Sho said strictly as he covered the younger boy. Masaki mumbled a silent ‘Gomen’ and slipped deeper under the sheets. “And now tell me what’s on your mind!”
“Why did you change? You hate me, don’t you?… I don’t get it…” he said with an adorable pout on his lips.
“I didn’t hate you. I should’ve known you for that I didn’t… I was angry for… Do we really have to talk about that now?” Sho asked on a slightly annoyed tone. He could’ve imagined more enjoyable things than this discussion.
Masaki jerked a little.
“Gomen. I didn’t notice I’m bothering you this much…” he mumbled feeling dejected by the harsh tone and moved to get out the bed and escape back to the safety of his own room… He just couldn’t get what was going on in Sho’s mind. Once he is all sweet and gentle - ‘Kissing me…’ - and smiles so coolly that he falls for him head over heels all over again. But in the next minute… he talks on that harsh tone again, anger coloring his voice - like it did all the time when they first met - and he retreats behind those walls of his that he can’t reach over no matter how hard he tries.
“Hey, hey, easy boy! Where are you going?” Sho asked pulling him back.
“You obviously didn’t want me here or talk to me so I thought I’d better leave you alone…” Masaki said and despite his efforts, it was obvious in his voice that he was hurt.
“That’s not true! I’m sorry, ‘kay? It’s just… I’m not used to talking about stuff like that. Emotions and such… I’m not a man of fashion, you know?” Sho said quickly and he felt frustrated that he almost scared the younger boy away again.
Masaki looked back at Sho again, his mouth slightly open in surprise.
“You? As not a man of fashion? But half of the school is friends with you!”
“They’re not! They’re just classmates and the members of the soccer team, but they’re no real friends… I don’t have friends except Satoshi. And maybe Nino can be count as one too… I never learnt to be friendly… I didn’t have a loving mother to teach me how to be nice and friendly to everybody. I’m not you…” Sho said shaking his head a little, sadness seeping in his voice.
“Me?” Masaki asked back more surprised, pointing at the tip of his nose.
“I realized it almost too late. Everybody wants to be your friend, didn’t you notice that?” Sho asked raising an eyebrow. “Not that it’s surprising if you think about it. You’re cute and pretty and you’re smiling all the time and you’re always nice to anyone. Who wouldn’t want to be near you?” Sho rather stated it matter-of-factly instead of asking.
At this the younger boy couldn’t say a thing, just blushed silently, prettily under the soft glow of the bedside lamp. Sho couldn’t help but smile fondly back at him.
“You should sleep now already. It’s really late now and you were released from the hospital just today…” he said and leaned in to plant a chaste kiss in the corner of Masaki’s mouth. “Good night, baby…” he whispered softly before turned off the lamp…

The next day Masaki woke up at an unfamiliar beeping noise and it took some time till he realized that he was sleeping in Sho’s room, in Sho’s bed and the noise he heard was his brother’s alarm clock.
“It wasn’t a dream!” he sighed happily, burying his face into the pillow one last time before sitting up. “What’s this…?” he mumbled picking up the small note that was left on the nightstand.
‘Ohayou, baby! I had to leave early for morning practice. I hope you slept well! See you at school! Sho
PS.: Bring me my lunch! ;)’
Masaki blushed a little at the note then quickly jumped out of the bed and rushed to his own room to get ready for school. Maybe if he was quick enough he can see him during the end of their practice too…

“Let’s go to eat!” Nino said as soon as the bell rand, announcing their lunch break.
“It’s rare that you actually enthusiastic about eating” Masaki said laughing. “We can go but I have to take aniki’s lunch to him before” he added. “You’re coming too, Mats… Where did he go?” he asked confused when he only saw his friend’s empty seat next to him.
Nino looked at Jun’s seat as well.
“I have a pretty good guess with who he is… I can’t believe he still said nothing about that!” the shorter student complained while they got up and left their classroom.
“Maybe he didn’t want people to know about their relationship just yet…” Masaki said musing and for some reason he blushed slightly.
Nino raised an eyebrow skeptically.
“You think Mr. ‘The whole world is revolving around me’ had anything he not wants to be known about him?”
Masaki couldn’t help but chuckle at this cause most of the time Jun really was like that. Jun liked to fill in people with the tiniest details of his life, completely sure about the importance of himself.
“Oh, hey there! Just the people I was waiting for!” Ohno greeted the younger boys smiling when they reached his and Sho’s classroom.
“And why was that?” Nino asked his boyfriend grinning back.
“Cause I missed my favorite little tempter!” Ohno whispered to him, his lips brushing Nino’s ear slightly. Nino’s face colored in pretty pink and hit the older boy’s chest. “Oh, and Sho told me to pick you up…” the older boy added grinning.
Masaki gasped surprised and followed his friends to the roof blushing…

“You know, you’re acting like a yakuza boss, Sho-kun! I take it as kidnapping!” Nino accused Sho who was waiting for them.
“Do as you please…” Sho answered to Nino shrugging, his eyes locked on his Masaki as he walked to him. “I see you found my note…” he whispered to the younger boy smiling and took his lunch box from him.
“You should’ve told me you have to leave early this morning!” Masaki complained on a similar, silent tone. His lips curled into an adorable pout that made Sho want to kiss him breathless. And he might have done that if they would not have audience…
“Don’t tell me! The two of you are hooked up?” Nino cried out behind Sho’s back; rudely reminding the couple that they were not alone.
“Finally!” Ohno sighed as well then chuckled silently.
Masaki blushed deeply and unconsciously moved closer to Sho, searching for his protection from the teasing. The older boy put his arm around the younger’s waist, pulling him to his body.
“Mind your own business, Ninomiya!” Sho snapped at the short student harshly but the reddish color on his cheeks told away it came from his embarrassment.
“Come on, baby, I bought melon bread!” Ohno raised the plastic bag that was dangling from his wrist and dragged his boyfriend farther away from the other couple. After all he could use some private time with his Kazu…
Seeing them walk away, Sho turned back to Masaki.
“Gomen for not telling” he apologized pressing a kiss to the younger’s forehead. “What’s wrong?” he asked noticing the frown on his face and the confused look in his soft brown eyes.
“Is it true?” he asked looking at Sho with his big, wide puppy-eyes.
“What’s true?” Sho asked back raising an eyebrow.
“That we’re… hooked up?” Masaki asked whispered and blushed in deep red as if he’d said something highly inappropriate.
Sho grinned back at him.
“I really hope so!”
“Then… you’re my… b-boyfriend… now?” Masaki asked again, the blush creeping up till the tip of his ears.
“That I am!” Sho said proudly and couldn’t resist the temptation anymore to kiss the younger boy. “Come on, let’s eat before the break is over…”
