we're all moving to finland to become porpoise spotters. this is a good opportunity, people. they have teeny computers everywhere over there, and they're far too small and polite to invade other countries.

eeee!

I love jobs where the prospect of not doing anything is high.

I'm so in.

I believe that Finland is ranked as the most corrupt country in the world. It also sounds like a weirdass conservative wasteland from what I've heard of it.

that's interesting. who have you heard about finland from? because, based on the 2-3 months i spent there, it didn't seem especially conservative at all. they have more single/stay-at-home fathers than any other place i've been; they all (including many of the christians) found the idea of illegal abortion ludicrious (to the point of laughing at me when i brought it up); they have numerous active left-wing political parties (way more than we have here, and they're well represented in office); and they love their lady president. the women tend to be the sexual aggressors, too ( ... )

I meant conservative in the attitudes of the people, not "Conservative" politically.
