Finished reading The Serpent Mage, today by Greg Bear. It's the sequel to The Infinity Concerto, and a considerable improvement. Many of the shadowy characters who were working behind the scenes (and not fully revealed or explained...making a good chunk of the plot hazy) were finally dealt with. Not long after my post yesterday, I received an e-mail inviting me to come in for an open house and interview. Woke up this morning feeling horrible. My sinuses are so packed that I cannot breathe through them. Didn't go into work. Tried calling in, but the general mailbox at work said, "This mailbox is currently full" so I expect others didn't go to work either due to children having no school.
