for those who haven't heard yet, my car needs $1500 worth of work to pass inspection. pass. if it were in excellent condition, it would be worth about $1600 at a private sale. as if that weren't enough, we just found out from someone who works at the car wash next door that our landlord is planning on ripping this place down in the spring. also, ( Read more... )

i brought it to my garage in madbury. they generally have very fair prices and i've been going there for a while. mostly it's major brake work and a bunch of other smaller stuff. they could do about $900 worth of work and the rest would be $500-$600 worth of body work because of rust.
