Ugh. I'd go absolutely nuts if I were forced into a situation like that.

Your mom is probably a lot more social and thinks that you should be a whole lot more social, too. She probably also has an idea of what sort of people you should be socializing with. So, since you aren't "properly" socializing on your own, she's forcing you too.

Forcing things like this never seems to work very well, but that doesn't stop people from trying.

Frankly, I think your mom needs her brain picked just as much as you do.

My mom probably thinks that I am lonely, trust me.

What really annoys me is that my mom, is assuming that the girl I am going to meet, likes art just because her parents do. I can think of plenty of things that I like that my parents don’t like!

And, I imagine, things that you don't like that your parents do, right? ^_^

Like I said, forcing things like this doesn't work very well. Kinda like when the king of France forced the resident Jews to convert to Christianity, much to the Church's dismay.
