The worst part of teaching is when the school year is over. I realize this doesn't make actual sense, because why would a teacher not look forward to the summer vacation. And it's not even that I don't look forward to that, but I do it with a sinking pit in my stomach.

Nine weeks in to my first year teaching. Turned in progress reports today. Enough failures in one class to probably warrant a meeting with the associate principal, but I haven't gotten yelled at (yet) for anything but the students' stupid Benchmarks. I'm discovering that I don't really have that much to say.

I always like it when I get some kind of uplifting message when I write to someone. It's a technological pat on the back. And I can get behind pats on the back.
