well...it's by no means a novel, but there a couple david sedaris stories that I think would be really funny if acted out. Maybe not, I don't know, but I think it'd be fun.

There's another guy in the class who said he was thinking of David Sedaris. My other fear is that I couldn't turn a couple-page short story into a full-length screenplay.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower, or the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night

Those are both good ideas.

ME TOO!

But since it's such a well-read book, I was afraid that my work would be ultra-criticized.

I still may go with it though...

Who wrote that?

Mark z. Danielewski

although i don't think it would actually be filmable and be true to the novel... i would love to see it, briliant and strange book.

it would be interesting in a live action play them trying to find the end to the house/staircase/everything else in that movie

Non-fiction is still a possibility. And Margaret Atwood is always interesting...is that book kind of sci-fi like a lot of her others?

Prep, by Curtis Sittenfield!
The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency, by Alexander McCall Smith!
Peace Like a River, by Leif Enger!
Up the Mountain, Coming Down Slowly, by Dave Eggers!

Top sellers, all of 'em!
