Taemin appeared along the school hallway with his school bag. A bright smile never left his face with the anticipation of Minho’s respond on his yellow jelly bracelet. He remembered his boyfriend had once compliment about how yellow looks perfect on him. With that thought lingering in his mind, it was impossible for the smile to disappear. The maknae skipped merrily and headed towards Minho’s classroom to wait for his arrival.
Along the way, the brunette saw his dongsaeng, DongHo. Taemin greeted the younger one with his usual liveliness while his friend showed a playful grin in return.
“Taemin hyung, you better be careful of the other sunbaes around. They may use this opportunity to eat you up.” Dongho warned his hyung before waving goodbye.
Taemin did not understand what Dongho was trying to imply. However, he never bothered to question further and continued on to look for his lover.
“Taemin.” Someone called out from behind.
The brunette stopped his track and turned over to look at Joon who had just called him.
“Joon sunbae!” The younger boy greeted him and waved his right hand a little to say hi.
“Taemin…I didn’t know you play that game.” A slight frown was seen on Taemin’s face.
What game was he talking about? Why did he say he was playing it? He could not recall himself playing any online game recently nor some new game with anyone in school during lesson time. Joon did not clear the doubts that Taemin had shown on his face. The older one could not simply miss this perfect chance to play with him.
At the very moment when his devil claws reached out to touched the innocent dongsaeng, Minho came to the rescue. He stood directly in front of Joon with a disgruntled look. Despite Joon being his sunbae, he did not bother showing him much respect at a time like this. Taemin weighs much more than other morals in his heart.
“Sorry to disappoint you Joon sunbae. Taemin won’t play that game with you.” Minho said in a serious tone with a hidden life threatening agenda in it.
Minho turned over to look at his lover and took a glance at the yellow band on his right wrist. Without warning, he snapped the band quickly without hurting the maknae and pulled him towards him. He then wrapped his arms tightly and possessively around the makane.
To Taemin, the reason for his action was his lover being jealous and overprotective over him. He did not mind at all. All this had only proved to him that how much Minho really care and love him. They stayed in that position for quite some time and attracted numerous attentions from students around that area. The maknae did not really care what they had thought of them and enjoyed himself in his lover’s arms.
Before Joon disappeared among the crowd, Taemin caught him sniggering at them and he lost his sight of him.
The bell rang and everyone headed back to their classroom. Minho finally released his grip around Taemin and ruffled his hair lightly. The older one hurried his lover to head back to his classroom and bid goodbye with the promise of having lunch together during break.

During that day, Taemin did not ask his hyung for the reason to snap his jelly bracelet. However, he did not stop thinking for a reason to his action. Why did he snap his yellow band and hug him? Did he just do it just because he is jealous and wants to show Joon sunbae who he belongs to? It must be something more serious than just that. He went back home that day and had a talked with his Onew hyung, hoping to get an answer.
“Hyung… Why did Minho break the yellow band?” Jinki sat there and used his dubu brain to ponder.
“Maybe he didn’t really like yellow. You know, yellow yellow dirty fellow.” Taemin gave a slight nodded but still not convinced.
The assumption contradicts with his previous compliment on how perfect yellow looks on him. He should just stick with the reason that Minho was just super jealous. Perhaps he should just wear another colour to school tomorrow.
“Hyung, which colour should I wear to school tomorrow?” Taemin took out all the jelly bracelets from the paper bag and prompt him to pick one.
Onew pointed to a pink band, “this one! Well…I am not sure if Minho would think this looks nice on you…but I am sure your Key umma would think it looks perfect on you!”
Taemin took the pink band and wore it on his right hand. He shook his hands a little and showed it off to his hyung proudly. He wished silently in his heart that this time around his lover would give a good comment on it. Taemin just wants to look perfect in front of Minho. Little did he know that Taemin always look perfect in Minho’s heart.
