wow, i followed the link to that booming article and i was a bit blown away. I mean, on some level, it's nothing i didn't know (that the "clean up" is a complete useless publicity stunt.) But to have it pointed out how completely belligerent it is was really eye opening. The solvent "solution" is so amazing to me; i don't even understand how that stuff is allowed to fly.
I remain repeatedly confirmed in my initial impression that this whole thing is only marginally about BP. It seems that BP adhered to industry standards, so the question is how did we get to a place where that level of disregard and shoddy cover ups constitute industry standard? Something is up, and i think it's a lot bigger than i can fully comprehend at this point.
