Our last flight yesterday was postponed, and then they said they were repairing it [the plane], and then they said that that tiny plane could only take 29 passengers (exactly the number of people in our group - SPOOKY!) and that three people would have to volunteer to take another flight, and only one guy did because the other

Well, since no one has said it via the livejournal: Welcome back. Iowa City is at its bestest when you're returning from a long time away from it.

Well thank you, Ian, you gentleman. I didn't get a very hearty reception upon my return, but it's probably not very graceful of me to mention it. Anyhow, Iowa is gloriously green and springly right now, although the temperature is dropping back to sub-tropicality. Sin embargo, it's good to be home.

Mostly I didn't give you a "heartly" welcome back because I've spent this entire time wondering what on earth made you think I was jewish. Or even...hassidic? What?

I want to play music with you. I know that sounds dirty, but there you are. It's how I feel and I refuse to be ashamed of it.

Y'know, I was just thinking about that to-day - the funnest times I've had playing musics with people was with you and Jammo, although Jamal now has a new drum-friend, only except they actually "go way back" as we say in this language so I can't really be bitter now can I?, but anyway, yes I really DO want to play music with you, Mr. Al. It's been a plenty long time since I've had a good fun music experience. You can call me at your leisure! Also, I intend to come see Uncle Toad & Ornery Lemon Magickal Comedie Hour tonight. I hear it promises to be a laugh riot - and a half!!
Why don't you boys ever tell me when you're playing rockinroll shows, huh? It's not like I can keep up on current events on my own.
