demondog's vet wants to do another round of surgery. This time they will actually do exploratory surgery and a bacterial culture for a mere $925 fee. It would have been nice to have been told before the first surgery that none of this would be taking place. It most certainly would have changed my decision to go ahead with the biopsy ( Read more... )

I often hear that things happen for a reason. Originally, I thought that quitting my job and finding out two days later that I'm facing over $600 in vet bills, was Life's way of draining my bank account. I now realize that unless I had quit my job I wouldn't have had the time to care for demondog.

I'm at a bit of a loss for words tonight.

A 20 year old man wrapped his car around a pole outside my house this evening.

Several hours later a vehicle was making a U-turn at the police barrier and a woman came tumbling out of the passanger side. She says her boyfriend had been beating her.

It's like my front yard became the setting for Cops

Let's see... what have I been doing as of late? Like most Austinites I do not enjoy the way that SXSW takes over Austin. Especially so due to my employment downtown.
