last night:

somehow randomly got off work 2 hours early
drove to la to meet up with my parents at a game
bummed a ride with tim and alice to the whisky
missed sinai beach's whole set
hung out with erik and pam at the merch table
met davey havok
rode home in the tour van with the boys

=soo much fun. <3

you know you hate your job when you get excited about a jury summons.... too bad my boss told me she'd write me a note to get out of it. but i love that the letter says that i am a "necessary part of the staff" and "the company cannot function without me". i want to frame that.

3 more weeks.

tim and i are going to see billy corgan tomorrow night in la! followed by a lovely wednesday morning off of work and then thursday gordon comes out to california!!! yay!! i'm already happy just thinking about this weekend and it's only monday. :)

the peabody ducks, the mississippi river, willie nelson, and bob dylan all in one night.

the highlight: willie playing "on the road again" immediately followed by "you were always on my mind". beautiful.

today was about perfect. tim and my dad and i went to stax museum of american soul music for the afternoon. we spent a few hours there and then went to a book signing for a famous photographer who used to take photos of bob dylan back in 1964 and 1965. he had an exhibit going at stax. after that we had memphis bbq for dinner and hung out with all ( Read more... )

i've really been enjoying this summer so far. work has been a lot of fun. i planted a garden in our little courtyard outside of our hemet center this week. i actually have money again--i hadn't realized how low my bank account was! i can barely pay off my credit card bill!:-\ but oh well, i'll have more money in a couple weeks. friday night bbqs ( Read more... )
