Where is the middle ground?

Why does the public's opinion have to matter so much, no matter how hard you try to be your own person? Everything is judged, from behavior, clothing, the company you keep, and especially, my topic of today, your body. I find myself at an utter loss when put up against society's conflicting expectations for the human body's appearence. I am not ( Read more... )

heh, i was shaking my head! you know me too well. i feel you, really i do. i guess the only difference between you and me is the fact that i don't have to feel bad about not looking like a supermodel because i've gone through the process of airbrushing. it's so hard to go through a photo shoot and then see the end results and realize that with a computer, "they" can make you look however they want. sometimes with pictures i've taken, the end person doesn't look anything like me! it's so discouraging to know that you can't be fine just the way you are. i've had enough years of it that i'm immune and i just don't let it get to me anymore. i hope you'll learn to do the same. BTW, I think we're all our own middle ground.
